Sarasota-Manatee Association of Legal Support Specialists was organized on May 5, 1998, with eleven charter members. Our more affordable dues and wide range of membership categories allows membership in our association to be more accessible to persons employed in law-related fields.

To be eligible for membership, you must complete an application for membership and submit payment of dues. Membership is available to persons licensed to practice law or employed, or formerly employed, as a legal assistant, law office administrator, paralegal, legal secretary, typist, stenographer, or clerk in any law office, any person employed in the court, the trust department of banks or trust companies, or any public or private institution or office directly engaged in work of a legal nature, including the public offices of the United States government, cities, counties, or municipalities, or any person interested in the legal field.
